2026: Managing projects and get tracks done!

Updated: 18. January 2026

Table Of Contents

Happy New Year all

As you can see from the statistics, I’m sitting on 205 unfinished projects.

Some are nothing more than rough ideas. Others are almost finished tracks that just never got the final push.

That stops in 2026.

The plan is simple and slightly brutal:

  • Finish what’s worth finishing
  • Trash what isn’t
  • Move on without guilt

No romantic attachment to half-working ideas. If a track doesn’t survive a proper listen and a bit of focused work, it’s out. Hard drive space is cheap, mental space isn’t.

To keep this under control, dBDone will be my central hub.

Not a DAW replacement. Not a creative tool. Just a clear, structured way to manage projects, status, and decisions — so things actually get done.

Another rule for 2026:

No major new software.

I already own more great tools than I realistically need. This year is about going deeper, not wider. Learn them properly. Use them better. Stop chasing the next shiny plugin like it’s going to fix bad decisions.

I’ll be sharing progress along the way — and hopefully some actual releases — on my hearthis.at profile.

Less clutter.

More finished music.

That’s the goal.
